[Flash Ahh]

Interesting commentary.

The subtle details within the flash is very clever. I haven't seen a flash that deals with this frustrating issue between Adobe and Apple. It's a shame people don't understand this inside reference.
However, the end seems a bit rushed. Maybe that's why some are discontented.
I hope to see more from you =]

Hear me out.

The art is exceptional, don't get me wrong. I'm not rating low because I'm a troll. It's because I care about the integrity of the rating system. Unfortunately, it has slipped a bit.
I am rating lower because of the term "flash". This piece is essentially a slide show. The only form of flash completed are button programming, some simple icons, and music.
I think that this kind of piece belongs in the art section; not Flash. It's enjoyable, but not animated. Animation is key in a flash submission. Sorry.

Cutely done.

The facial expressions are really cute. I really enjoyed the red boy's reaction.
The animation was smooth, but more could have been done. You were tired though, I know. The only animation I saw were the eyes. Perhaps the characters can have more movement.
Nice idea though! Keep working!

Has potential.

I'm not sure what your goal was...2D. Does that include multiple shots/angles or not?
It seems that the most effort was put into animating the mouth. The mouth synce is very good. The rest of the movements are tweens.
Other angles and transition could have definitely been added. Perhaps some variation to the motions and facial expressions.
Otherwise, good potential.

Yeah after going through the first 3 versions and my transitions totally sucking I just wanted to stick with one shot angle. And this is actually a hell of a lot more than what my professor actually wanted. But yeah if I had more time and NO restrictions I'd have a lot more cool stuff going on.

[Problem vs Power]

Could use more explanation.

The animation was very smooth. I think you could have animated the characters with more effort like the words.
I think the message got lost. If he had power, why would be choose to still associate himself with those characters? By mugging them, what do they have to offer anyways? I guess it's a metaphor, but there could be so many other things to demonstrate. The only "power" the character had was mugging others. We already have that power. lol
For example, the character could have used that power to influence other. Maybe, he could have gotten a "power" to do something ordinary people cannot do.

You say the only power he had was mugging people, even though he used his power to buy the old lady a brand new car or give the hobo shelter.

I do agree with you when you say the message was lost; I didn't express it well enough. It's people like you who review harshly who I like the most.

Very funny!

The animation was rather smooth, but however the sound effects were a little overdone. I didn't expect the ending at all. Very creative!
